Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino: Carnival World Buffe

  • August 10, 2007

The Carnival World Buffet lives up to its name. They offer food from every place you can think of. They offer Mexican, Korean barbecue, Vietnamese noodles, American, etc. This buffet is really Worth the money as you will be able to try food that you probably have never tried before. The restaurant itself was very nice and quiet. At time there would be performances right outside that you could watch from your seat. Overall I believe that this buffet is one of the best I have been to so far and I highly recommend it to everyone.

The price depends on what meal you are going for. We would go here for breakfast, because it was the least expensive and then skip lunch. The selection is unbeatable, there are foods from various cultures (more so at the Dinner Buffet) a large dessert case, and there really is something for everyone. And of course the best part of eating at Vegas hotels, Keno right from your table!
I have been here on nearly every trip I have taken to Vegas and still think it is one of the best.

This is another of my personal favorite buffets in Vegas. The place looks like a food court, with every type, size, and color of food you could possibly want. There is an area for American, Italian, Asian, Mexican, and many other types of food. The dessert Island is very large with an incredible selection of tasty treats. I love their key lime pie--one of the best ever. Even my very picky wife liked it!! They recently (just over a year ago) enlarged the seating area and installed computerized Point of Sale systems to speed up the LONG lines that form here. Remember-There is a Seafood buffet at the Rio as well. If you want that, be sure you are in the right line. This buffet is always rated as one of the best in Vegas and I agree.

This was the first place we ate in Vegas, and I originally thought it was just okay, but after eating at other places, I would never eat here again; there are too many other REALLY GREAT options. Rio buffet was $13.95 each for breakfast—a bit pricey, I think. We fit in one trip for breakfast before they switched the food over to lunch at 11am. The buffet snaked around the entire room; standing in the middle, you couldn't even see where it ended. The entire thing had different foods; it wasn't just the same stuff, mirrored on different sides of the room.

For breakfast, I tried bacon, mini Belgian waffles, and mini pancakes. The waffles and pancakes were bland, but the bacon’s flavor was delicious, though not as crisp as I prefer. My boyfriend thought the breakfast food wasn't as bad as I thought, and he really liked his omelette. There were breakfast pastries, breads, eggs, pancakes, waffles, crepes, and made-to-order omelettes.

For lunch, there were foods from around the world--sushi, Asian noodles, create-your-own stir-fry, beef, sausage, pizza, and tacos. For dessert, there were various flavors of pies, custards, cookies, gelato, and sugar-free desserts. There was also a full bar for an extra price, of course. Our favorite foods were the kielbasa, roast beef, tiramisu in chocolate cups, and chocolate gelato.

Breakfast $12.99 plus tax, 7am-11am Mon-Fri, 7:30am-10:30am Sat-Sun
Lunch $14.99 plus tax, 11am-3:30pm Mon-Fri
Dinner $22.99 plus tax, 3:30pm-10pm Nightly
Saturday & Sunday Champagne Brunch $22.99 plus tax, 10:30am-3:30pm

This was the first buffet place we tried in Las Vegas. They have so many entrees to choose from. It has to be one of the largest ones in Las Vegas. It's definitely worth a try. It has a "carnival" of different world cuisines. Kids will enjoy eating here. There are so many varieties of food to choose from.
