Avoid this Buffet at all Costs

The place is over-priced at $26 for adults and $15 for children and the food is simply awful. The veriety is very limited and most of the food I tried tasted old. The service wa very poor and people had to clean their own tables but placing the dirty dishes on adjacent tables. I have eaten at many Vegas buffets and this by far was the worst I had ever tried.

Treasure Island Champagne Brunch Buffet

We ended up going to Treasure Island’s champagne brunch for $12/person. This may have been the best buffet I’ve ever been to. It started off with every breakfast food and a ton of fruit. Then it offered prime rib, boiled shrimp, fried seafood and a ton of various lunch foods as well as a small selection of Chinese food. The dessert tray had some tasty looking treats including amazing caramelized flan. You could choose from any beverage you wanted and you even got complimentary champagne. We ate until we were sick then won and lost a bit in Wheel of Fortune slots with our new MGM Club cards.

Treasure Island Buffet

My German friend Nicki was staying at Treasure Island so, at the end of our great day together seeing the Vegas sights, we ended our day with dinner at the Treasure Island Buffet.

Like most of the buffets in Vegas hotels, Treasure Island had a lot to offer from seafood and barbeque, to spaghetti and desserts, etc. Nicki had the spaghetti, and Erika and I had a smorgasbord consisting of almost everything.

The service at Treasure Island Buffet was slow. Our waiter rarely came by to see how we were doing or get us drinks. He wasn't too friendly either. The food wasn't as good as the Pharoah's Pheast at Luxor, but I was happy to be with my friend and sister and talking made digesting the bland meal easier.

After dinner, Nicki, Erika, and I saw the Pirate's show outside the hotel. The show is an all-out extravaganza with fighting pirates, cannon fire, a sinking ship, and a firework finale. It was a nice end to an otherwise unappealing meal.
