Monte Carlo Buffet

This Buffet was quite enjoyable. We were actually not expecting to eat at this buffet, but we were asking people where would be a good Buffet for the price of what you pay, the answer was Monte Carlo Buffet. Personally I think it was a great choice.

The Dining area was really nice, however the ambiance was a little noticeable, but what do you expect from a buffet. The design was incredible and there was a walkway in the middle of the buffet that left this majestic feeling to it.

The food choice was grand. There was prime rib, beef ribs, crab legs, shrimp, an Asian wok section, sushi, rack of lamb, a great choice of salads. The prime rib was splendid, though it did taste the same as other prime ribs, but it was worth it seeing that prime rib could cost anywhere from 12$ a plate and the buffet cost 25$ therefore you get a lot for the dollars you paid.

I ate about 3 and a half plates including deserts. Had OJ and milk for drinks. I was quite satisfied. Except I had to use the restroom right after.

We decided to visit the Monte Carlo buffet as a last minute decision and enjoyed it very much. The tables were very private and the waitresses both efficient and friendly.

I had some lovely salads and fresh fruit to start with and then asked the chef to make me some penne pasta with tomato sauce and fresh vegetables. My husband had a steak, chop and, vegetables and was equally impressed. I had a chocolate dessert and coconut macaroon to finish and my husband had a coffee. It was not our intention to pig out as we were flying home next day, but we could see others who had been piling lots of plates high with Asian, Mexican, Chinese, and Italian food to name a few.

We had a "goodbye" brunch at Monte Carlo where my mom was staying. We thought this was excellent and on the same level as Mandalay Bay, but about $5 cheaper. A good variety of various ethnic foods such as Chinese, Italian, Mexican, etc. We got there for the lunch brunch and the highlight was a teriyaki beef they had at the carving station (with 4 other types of sirloin). They also had some very good Mexican quesadillas and Chinese dumplings. The deserts were okay.

Microbreweries are big in Vegas. The Monte Carlo has the best one. Good live music, decent bar food and great beers. Don't come here to have a conversation though, the music will keep you dancing and toe tapping. It is way too loud for chit chat.

Whenever I vacation there is always somewhere I absolutely love and eat there twice. This was that place for Las Vegas. This was hands-down the best buffet experience of Las Vegas. We went to the dinner buffet the first and last day of our visit. The variety was amazing, and I had never experienced so many different foods in the same place before. There was a salad bar, Chinese, Cajun, Mexican (tacoes and fajitas), a grill (complete with steak and pork chops), a pasta station (the chef made your pasta to order), prime rib and chicken with all the fixings, and an awesome variety of tasty desserts (including pie, cake, make your own strawberry shortcake, ice cream bar, and the best cheesecake in Vegas). The food was great - plentiful and great tasting. I especially enjoyed the steak, tacoes, sweet and sour chicken, and of course the chocolate cheesecake. The service was excellent as well - our dirty plates were always gone when we arrived back to the table with full ones. Adding to the food, the room itself was magnificant - it had beautiful murals and carpeting, and had enough space for many people without feeling crowded. It did what a dining room should - it was so beautiful it added a lot to the enjoyment of the meal. Finally, there wasn't a huge line-up either evening we went - the most we had to wait to get in was 10 minutes. You can't go to Las Vegas without experiencing a buffet - go to this one and you won't be disappointed!
