P.F. Chang's

This was our first visit to P.F. Chang's. We say "Bravo!" We totally enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent; friendly and tentative. Actually, I was the one of the 4 who doesn't prefer Chinese. I mean it's ok, but not really what I choose when I go out. But my dogs needed to go outside and home is still a 2 hour drive so I go with the flow so my husband and I can get on the road.

We had four dishes and all were delicious. Again, something never to be my favorite, Lemon Pepper Chicken...it was my favorite. I never have seconds at dinner time, I'm just not a big eater. But I had 2nds, maybe 3rds on something. I took my time and enjoyed my company and my meal and decided the dogs would be fine for another 30 minutes.

Our dinner also included Sweet and Sour Pork, Shrimp Cantonese, Chicken Chow Mein and compliments of the chef, Beef Schezwan, to balance our meal. I'd skip the pork. Shrimp very blan, but with the rest of the meal was very good as it balanced the spicy beef. Chow Mein, very good. I think it was my husband favorite!

It's been about a month and we have decided to make the 2 hour drive and try it again. We're looking forward to another dinner at P.F. Changs.

PF Chang's China Bistro

PF Chang is one of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. They offer a lively atmosphere that seems very crowed and loud at first, but after a few minutes it feeds into the charm of the restaurant, and actually put me in the mood for more of a "family style" dinner (many different plates and everyone sharing). I was there for a dinner with a company I worked as a sales rep for along with all of the designers, logistics people, CEO, and anyone else you would expect to see in a small manufacturing company in all a total of a little over 30 people. We had reservations and the wait staff was more than ready for us. I was highly impressed how they were able to bring a continuous flow of food to our table while honoring requests for special drinks and food preparation, and yet serve a packed restaurant.

I do suggest making reservations in advance otherwise you’ll have a long wait. The wait staff is great and is more than willing to give suggestions. When I was in Vegas I was with a party of 30 and they went out of their way to accommodate us.

The food was great, especially for a chain. Have never eaten there before I let them recommend to me what I should get and I wasn’t disappointed. I ended up trying their lettuce wraps (iceberg lecture that you use to wrap up ground chicken in), which they are famous for. It was good, but it came in a distant third to their pot stickers and lemon chicken. Their crab wantons are also a must try. The main course consisted of lemon chicken, orange peel beef, and garlic noodles. The lemon chicken was amazing. I’ve tried many versions of this, but always found it lacking something or over powered by the lemon. At PF Chang It had just a light touch of lemon to it. Enough to be tasted but not enough to over power.

We ate here twice since it was soooo good! We started off with martini's, chocolate espresso, blood red, apple pucker-----they were all good. The waitstaff was fun and informative. We ate lettuce wraps (spicy chicken that you spoon into very fresh lettuce leaves) and Chilean sea bass. Everything was perfect!

I really enjoy going to this restaurant because I like the food (even though I know it is not the highest quality Chinese and it is chain restaurant). P.F. Chang's is basically nothing more than a trendy version of your corner Chinese restaurant. The dishes are a little fancier, the decor is flashier, and the people watching is better. I always come away satisfied and actively seek certain dishes like the lettuce wraps. Don't go here expecting gourmet cuisine, but if you want a solid Chinese meal in a fun environment, this is a nice alternative to the restaurants on the Vegas strip. The biggest down side is that the restaurant is usually crowded and wait times are a pain.
