Situated just 100 meters west of Tha Pae Gate and a few minutes' stroll from the Night Bazaar, Ratana's Kitchen is a cozy, air-conditioned eatery with some of the tastiest food in town. The marble rattan interior is bright and welcoming, with relaxing music, intriguing photographs, and magazines to browse. The extensive menu includes yummy muesli and pancakes, generously-filled sandwiches and tender steaks, and perhaps the best set breakfast in town. Also try the khao soi, noodles and chicken in a mild curry sauce, or many other Northern Thai specialities. But the greatest shock at Ratana's is its rock-bottom prices.
