Prince of Wales

Description

Although said to be haunted by no less than three ghosts, this is a welcoming Dartmoor pub with a good atmosphere. The comfortable U-shaped bar has a low beamed ceiling, bare stone walls and two large open fires. A free house, it serves Boddingtons, Bass, Wadworth 6X and Old Bodger in winter, as well as a wide range of ciders and their own ales brewed in their microbrewery on the premises.

There is a restaurant off the bar which serves an a la carte menu as well as a wide range of bar snacks. Jail Ale Pie, local beef braised in their home brewed Jail Ale, retails at £5.95 and is their most popular dish. Dogs are welcome, but children can only come into the pool room. There are many facilities in this friendly family-run pub, including darts, euchre, dominoes, pool, pinball machine, fruit machines and a juke box.
