Description
One could easily be fooled when descending the flight of steps into the restaurant that they had stumbled inside someone's living room by mistake. Opposite a small bar area, there is an equally compact dining space. As a restaurant that specialises in seafood, it is appropriate that there is an abundance of seafaring paraphernalia dotted about. This is presumably an attempt to create an authentic Portuguese fishing village type of effect. The food is well prepared though and includes starters such as oven-baked mushrooms in wine and paprika sauce. The chunky fillet of salted cod with jumbo king prawns, squid, mussels and peppers is a substantial meal, which makes up for the rather bland choice of desserts. If the thought of recalling heady summer nights in the Algarve is what you are after, then give it a go. Alternatively, you could just get the holiday snaps out.
