Description
Located near the Philharmonic Hall and Philharmonic Dining Rooms, the emphasis is on good food, wine and dancing, particularly so in the basement taverna. Quintessentially Greek in decor, the atmosphere is cosy and accommodating and basically it's just like being on holiday without the posing pouches. The menu includes hummus with hot Greek bread and delicious taramasalata and tsatziki from around £3 per dish. For a main meal try sheftalies - a delicately spiced beef, parsley and mint sausage cooked on skewers over a charcoal fire for around £9. Drink plenty of the Greek house wine to get you in the mood for impromptu belly dancing.
