Description
In a town full of great places to eat, this one stands out for its menu's imagination and execution, not to mention the celebrities that are spotted here. The dining area itself, always full of well-heeled diners, is a cozy storefront done up in elegant fashion with rich fabrics and subtle lighting design. The French by way of Pacific Rim offerings change often to take advantage of seasonal produce and to accommodate the whims of chef Daniel Patterson, who made a name for himself in Napa's competitive restaurant milieu. The selections here always include exquisitely prepared poultry, beef and seafood choices, none more memorable than a skate wing that made true believers out of the most hardened skeptics as to that sea creature's possibilities as haute cuisine. The wait staff is well-trained and the wine list, though small, is well chosen. A good bottle starts at $20.
