Yumma's Mediterranean Grill offers naturally fed meats free of hormones and antibiotics, with the choices of shawarma, shish kebab, and vegetarian foods. People nearby may call or fax their lunch orders before they open at 11am. I found myself attracted to this place as I walked by its visually appealing front with the vertical meat grill pits cooking away, the busy, brisk lunchtime crowd lining up and placing their orders. I ordered the lamb shawarma with thinly sliced marinated lamb, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and choice of garlic yogurt or tahini sauce wrapped in lavash for $4.95, plus tax. The order was quickly assembled for takeout or dine-in. I took my order and went to the back for outdoor seating. It was nice to be able to have the option of sitting outdoors. I found the food quite tasty but too spicy for my taste.
