Description

A tradition for more than three generations has made this undoubtedly one of the most time-honored restaurants in Arequipa. Refurbished in 1997, its colonial charms remain, including the vaulted ceilings. It is surrounded by gardens filled with autochthonous birds, and even has a caged (endangered) Condor. The specialities of the house are dishes with prawns, though the traditional stuffed Rocoto (chilli peppers) and Chicharrón (fried pork rind) are savory options. There are a variety of mixed drinks and an extensive wine list, which includes an economical choice of house wine served in a jug, for 15 soles. Beside the dining areas, there is a special hall for private, special events.
