If you have $90+/person to spend on dinner (which includes dinner plus tip, not drinks), or if your parents are in town and have money to burn, Les Nomades is where you want to go. The menu is prix-fixed, which means that you get a four-course meal (dessert included) for $75/person (at least that was the price when we went about two years ago).
You absolutely need reservations, you won't be able to get a table without them. And the gentlemen must have a jacket on, and women should be attired appropriately. Despite the formality, it was not stuffy. The dining room, while small, was light and airy. The service was impeccable. And the food. . .my oh my, $75 is a lot of money to spend on food, but what they put on my plate was magical. Course after course was sheer gastronomic ecstasy. My husband says that the steak he had there was the best beef he has ever had. They had a mango souffle for dessert that you had to order when you order your first course, and it was divine. The flavors of souffle change but both times I've been there, souffle was on the menu.
This is a restaurant to go to for a special occasion (anniversary, perhaps), if you want a fine dining experience, or if you just want to get out of the crowds and want to pamper your stomach!
