Marche is one of the Lettuce Entertain You group's many wonderful restaurants known for decadent and colorful themed decor, excellent service and hearty meals. Marche never fails - especially with their bi-weekly prix-fixe (offered on Monday and Wednesday) which allows you to choose any appetizer, entree and dessert from the menu for $29. ANY. No gimmicks. I like to bring friends who are in town for work to this fun restaurant and they leave raving about their meal.

Do not fear, if you cannot make it on a Monday or Wednesday, this menu is moderately priced so even ordering three courses a la carte won't set you back like other French restaurants in the city. Their appetizers are priced from $6 to $12, entrees go for $18 to $25, and their desserts from $7 to $9.

My favorite salad is the Pear, endive and walnut salad and their French onion never fails. The scallops are also fantastic, but filling on their own so I recommend getting a light entree if you decide on the scallops. I don't recommend the duck liver mousse - basically a slice of Texas toast with a hole cut out in the middle filled with pate. I highly recommend the beet salad if you like those sweet and tart vegetables (or fruit)!

For their entree choice - the classic steak frites never lets you down. But an even better choice isn't listed on the menu but is always available - the duo of filet mignon medallions over mashed potatoes and topped with grilled mushrooms, glazed carrots and shallots. Such a great deal! I always go for that and ask them to go ahead and pack one of the medallions and half the sides in a to go
container which they gladly do for you. The duck and braised rabbit are very rich and sweet meats but also excellent.

For lighter eaters, there are also also bar foods available like burgers and crabcakes. I've never had them but I'm sure they're good. Now on to dessert! Profiteroles, profiteroles, profilteroles!
The tarte tartin and creme brulee are classics that never let you down also. All, hefty sized desserts of course! If this doesn't leave your mouth watering...something's wrong with you!

Marche is a great and friendly restaurant to bring your whole family to but it can also be a wonderful romantic spot. They have space to accommodate everyone's needs and they never let you down!
