This is a decent brew pub run by Chicago's premier microbrewer. The place is pretty good sized with a large rectangular bar, pool tables, darts, and plenty of dining tables. The have 6-8 homemade beers on tap (Honker's Ale is their trademark brew). Saw some ladies drinking wine so I presume it's a full bar.
Mostly sandwiches and salads on the menu. I had the $9.50 hamburger which was an experience. It was encrusted with pepper, with about 10 WHOLE CLOVES of garlic on top and served on a pumpernickel roll. Unfortunately, I thought the flavor of the beef got lost under all that pepper and garlic. Our spinach and cheese appetizer was very tasty, however.
I'd try this place again. After all, the beer alone was worth the trip.
