Poop Deck at Sandyport (The)

We often visit Nassau and always make sure to have a dinner or two at Poop Deck SandyPort. We like to eat on their outdoor patio and have our romantic dinner. The food is always delicious. We also like their Spanish Paella night on Thursday nights which is excellent. Check out their website at http://www.thepoopdeck.com.

The Sandy Port location is the one we like to go to since it's right on the beach. It's on your way to and from the airport which is good as it's right off the main road. You can see it from the road. If you are in Nassau, I would definitely suggest for one dinner at least. Great service and amazing food!

I always go to PoopDeck SandyPort when I visit Nassau as the food is incredible and the atmosphere is bright and relaxing. The service is always friendly which is nice when you are on vacation. The fish is my pick for what to order as it's all fresh and local. Flavors are always wonderful. Great wine list too and you can always walk along the beach after your meal.

This is another restaurant we went to that was wonderful while in Nassau. While we were waiting for our meal, the bread in the bread basket was warm, fresh, and had a sweetness to it. Our meal was delicious. We had fillet of hog snapper and lobster. After our meal, we took a walk along the beach just outside the restaurant under the beautiful moonlight.

The Poop Deck at Sandyport HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

about 3 miles west of Cable Beach, off West Bay Street

The Poop Deck at Sandy Port is located just over the Sandy Port bridge, a couple of miles west of Cable Beach in the upscale community of Sandy Port.

The restaurant is unpretentious and nicely decorated. You can dine either inside or out on the deck. We chose inside seating.

On the way to your table, the Maitre’d brings you by the display of the day’s catch of lobster and hog snapper.

The menu includes fish, lobster, chicken, steak and lamb. All of the dishes sounded so good, it was hard to choose.

We selected the conch fritters as an appetizer. They were quite tasty and came with nice dipping sauce.

For entrees, we chose the Sandyport Snapper, tropical chicken, shrimp on a skewer and sea lovers sampler. All of the entrees were nicely presented and recieved raves for flavor. The Sandyport snapper was a snapper filet stuffed with spinach, crabmeat and shrimp. The snapper filet was rolled with the stuffing mixture and then sliced across the roll. The presentation of the dish made it almost too pretty to eat.

We each selected different desserts; pineapple explosion, rum cake, death by chocolate and guava duff. All of the desserts were excellent.

The total bill for 2 adults and 2 teens was $220 including drinks and tip.

We ate in the Poop Deck bar. They have happy hour from 5pm - 7pm in the evening, including free appetizers. The drinks ranged from $5- $7 in price, and were very tasty. We had planned to have dinner at the Poop Deck, but with the drinks and free appetizers we decided to skip it. It was a great place to walk to from Sandyport beaches on the evening of our arrival for a quick bite.
