Description
French food in a greasy spoon diner-how could this be? Actually, the food here is quite good. Chez Brigitte was opened in 1958 by Brigitte Catapano, a Marseillaise immigrant; although she has passed on, the diner continues to be run by her partner Ruth Santos. The tiny restaurant seats only 11 people. It serves a special dish every day, plus regular bistro fare like veal stew and omelets. Reservations are not accepted. Bring your own wine. Cash only.
