I went to the Ultimate Sports Bar in the heart of Times Square. The food was good. I had a chicken sandwich with wings.

Of course, there were big screens - a sports-lover's paradise!

I've been to ESPN Zone for an annual holiday party given by a friend of ours every year for the past five years. It is a fun place to stop in and grab a bite to eat while watching the game..whichever it may be at the time..basketball, hockey, football, baseball, soccer, etc.

The entire theme is sports related of course. Huge TV screens everywhere, loud and screaming fans, sports related souvenir store, and you can even find TVs in the bathroom stalls!

There is also an arcade room that uses a point system and plastic card to keep track of your games. There are all types of games: high tech sports games and basketball shooting games and racing games. I never spent more than 5 minutes in this room, but the kids really like it.

Make sure you have reservations or you'll be waiting a long time for large groups to be seated. It is located on the most popular corner, 42nd Street & Broadway!

Suggest going on off hours right before lunch crowd or dinner crowds.

Everything from slider burgers cooked to your liking, golden fries, ballpark franks, chili, nachos, philly cheese steaks, chicken fingers, buckets of red wings, roast beef sandwiches, and chicken sandwiches. There are vegetarian dishes, soups and salads as well.

ESPN Zone takes up an entire block of Manhattan. It's a three story play-place for people who like sports. From the giant TV screens that are always displaying sporting events, to the gift store downstairs, it retains a some-what family atmosphere and is a good place to go if you (or your husband) doesn't want to miss the big game during your vacation. Our son likes to watch sports on TV, but he REALLY likes the third floor of Espn Zone where there are nothing but GAMES dedicated to the sports (and arcade) junkie. We buy a certain number of Game Credits for him and then let the kid go wild. Basketball, air hockey, virtual reality parachuting. It doesn't matter. They're all sports to him! As for the food, my kid likes that, too. Chicken fingers, burgers, french fries. Isn't grease the main ingredient in a kid's idea of 'tastes good'? Fortunately for me, they also serve some good soup.
