Description
'This high-class newcomer has quickly developed a reputation for the quality of the food and the surroundings. Unusual in operating as both a wine bar and restaurant, Spice is split into 2 floors with the downstairs bar area offering a stylish atmosphere with leather sofas and wooden fittings. Upstairs the restaurant is decorated in restrained lemon and burgundy hues giving a relaxed feel.
The food is excellent and provides a mixture of old favourites and more exotic choices such as isa bora - a starter related to the onion bhaji but with prawns for GPB2.95 - and mali wali murgh, which are chicken kebabs cooked in a butter sauce at GBP8.50. There is also an excellent selection of vegetarian dishes available on request.'
