Description
Located on a quiet side street off Deansgate, Lounge Ten offers extravagant surroundings and a new concept in French cuisine – amouse-bouche, or things to make your mouth happy. This a unique take on tapas but with a distinctly gallic flavour, created by well-known local chef Francis Carroll. Over 3 floors the décor is decidedly flamboyant, with lavish crystal chandeliers, ornate Grecian pillars, rich crimson ceilings and an elegant wrought-iron spiral staircase.
Dishes include classics like eggs benedict at around £8 or more unusual and exotic choices such as beef fillet with quails eggs and chunks of sea bass with fennel for £10. With a beautiful range of desserts - all at £5 - and an excellent wine list, this is definitely one of the city's most talked-about new restaurants.
