Description
Andrew Nutter is one of the country's most dynamic young chefs and already has lots of TV guest appearances and a Channel 5 series to his name. The eponymously named Nutter's is an ex-pub in a beautiful - if remote - moorland location on the main road between Rochdale and Bury.
Inside it is warm and welcoming with a cosy, traditional feel highlighted by the peach walls, restrained lighting and friendly atmosphere. The food is excellent, although a touch expensive - the set-price dinner is £29.95 - and might include such Nutter signature dishes as chicken breast with stir-fired breakfast (a mixture of diced bacon, black pudding and mushrooms) and a port wine sauce or rum and raisin creme brulee with apple sorbet for dessert. Good quality house wines start at around £11 a bottle.
