Description
Just across from the current rash of high street café-bar chains in Didsbury Village, you will find their complete antithesis - a quirky little independent café and bistro set in a charming listed cottage.
Over the years it has changed ownership many times, but this latest incarnation has retained a cosy and intimate atmosphere with a high standard of cooking and a loyal, ever expanding clientele. The bistro menu, which includes a selection of salads, pastas, ciabattas and platters, is supplemented by daily blackboard specials such as fillet steak with a whiskey sauce and oriental steamed sea bass at around £15. The reasonable wine list starts with a bottle of house wine from £9 and draught beers include Grolsch and Caffreys at £2.50 a pint.
