Description
This cosy former terraced house is famed for traditional English food with a contemporary flourish. It is popular with thirty-somethings who can enjoy their meals in front of an open fire, accompanied by live jazz from resident duo, Claude and Cleo once a month.
There is a daily special menu before 7pm - at £9.95 for two courses and £12.95 for three. Starters such as fennel seed crostini cost £5.95 while mains are around £14 - try monkfish, scallop and king prawn fricassee. There are a good selection of wines available, a decent Chilean red costing £12.
