Franz is situated behind the Giardini della Biennale, in a slightly off-the-beaten-track area. It specializes in fish and other fresh local products depending on the season. Here in this hidden corner of Venice you can find delicious fried food, antipasti and other local specialties, all prepared under the watchful eyes of chef Franco Gasparini and proprietor Maurizio Gasparini. It is all cooked traditionally, but attention is paid to modern dietary needs. The wine list is above reproach.
