The second time Larissa and I came to the Moose's Tooth was my last meal in Alaska before heading home on my flight to Florida. I didn't want anything heavy and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to take any leftover pizza on the flight home due to TSA rules. So I decided to have another salad as a light meal to fill me up for the long flight to Dallas/Fort Worth. Maybe I should have gotten a pizza because my Grilled Chicken Greek Salad was a big disappointment. I was hoping for a nicely flavored grilled chicken, but what I got was something like a poached unflavorful dry chicken on top of my salad greens, veggies and feta cheese. Being Memorial Day, it was a little busy, but I was disappointed when I went to pay the bill at the register and the girl said I had to go to the other register at the front of the restaurant. There was no one at the other register and I left our money and small tip at the table when we left leaving me fuming about the bad customer service.
The Moose's Tooth is the sister restaurant of the Bear Tooth Theater and Pub, and if I had my choice again whether to dine at the Bear Tooth or the Moose's Tooth whenever I come back to Alaska, I would choose the Bear Tooth in a heartbeat.
