The hotel foyer exudes a charming atmosphere and the young staff who greet you are friendly and welcoming. The attached kitchen provides great Lao food as locals know--arriving in droves for delicious noodle soup. The rooms are basic, musty and small with hard beds, but this may be a small concession for being located in an interesting area. There are charming temples and inviting markets close by and you can enjoy fresh baguettes daily from an adjacent food vendor.
