Opposite the Lao Plaza Hotel stands this small and simple Vietnamese restaurant owned by an extremely talkative and friendly Vietnamese woman. The translated English menu has a choice of 26 tempting looking dishes such as 'Browned Cuttlefish with Lemongrass and Chilli.' The size of the portions makes any choice a good value. Even the chicken fried rice comes with a large helping of vegetables. The only alcohol available is locally brewed Beerlao but there is a plentiful stock of sodas and energy drinks.
