We went here on the final day of our trip last year, and there was a crush at the door to get in for opening, which we took as a good sign--we weren't let down. This year we dumped our bags and headed straight to it as soon as we got into Prague.
It's a microbrewery, and they only do two types of beer - light and dark - in small quantities. This does mean it's nearly always going to be fresh, but they never get the taste the same each time. The second visit was not as good as the first time around, but it's well worth going. Last year we got huge mixed grills, but they had scrapped that menu, so we were a little disappointed. We got a mini version of the meal we tried last year, and it was excellent--go for the bacon dumplings!
A bit pricey now that it's a tourist hot spot, but the locals still use it, so that can only be a good thing.
They have a massive menu covering traditional Czech cuisine, and there is so much to choose from, but the meals are over-generous, and we struggled to clear the plates and had no room for dessert! but plenty of room for a few litres of the svelte ale!
