The Wow! Factor - Best Restaurant of our Trip

Our hotel (Royal York) recommended Delrios Restaurant. From outside, there's just a door and you follow a corridor and staircase down to a basement, then Wow! You're transported to another world. If only the walls could talk I bet they would have a few stories to tell. The staff were very busy, yet attentive and fun. Most importantly the food was amazing; fresh Scallops wrapped in Parma Ham and local Crab for Starters, then home-made Meatballs (old recipe from the owner's Mom) and Rib Eye Steak (superb) for Mains. We were recommended Sardinian Vermentino wine personally selected by the owner and were persuaded to try the home-made desserts (an Italian trifle pudding and Ricotta Cheesecake - delicious) and we finished off with Grappa from the owner's town. Any trip to York should include a visit to this place - very special!
