I have had the pleasure to vist florida 8 times in my short life span to date.I come from ireland im 32 and work as a chef in the catering industry and i have to say that bob hellmans is one if not the best dinning est i have ever entered,from the time you enter the door to the time you leave it is just top class.Every year we visit clearwater for a week after the mayhem of orlando and dinner in bobs is one of the highlights of the holiday.Being a chef back home in ireland and people tell me there going to orlando i tell them to drive down to clearwater for the day and to pop into bobs, I rate hellmans as one of the best ever.

Although the restaurant is finely styled, the food was not wonderful. All the reviews I read about this place, praised the food. I wanted to let you know that we were not happy with our seafood. The crab tasted bad, like it was spoiled. The scallops were overcooked and the bill was over $60 without drinks, for two people! I did tell our waiter that the crab tasted bad, but they offered no discount or refund. Forget this place unless the locals tell you it improved.

This restaurant has been on Clearwater Beach before sand was invented! If you ever want a complete meal, served graciously this is the place to go. Their specialty of the house happens to be a specialty fried chicken. Yes, I said fried chicken. You would not believe this stuff. Oh. They prepare it with the freshest chicken as soon as it is ordered. That's why the menu says to allow at least a half hour for your entree to arrive if you order the fried chicken...and don't we know some places where you can get your fried chicken instantly! This is the real thing. You can take your Mom here for Mother's Day, your date for your first date, your husband for your anniversary and your grandparents for their anniversary. The Beachcomber is one of the classiest restaurants in Clearwater!
