We had a difficult time finding Frenchy's, but when we did we returned two times. This is definitely the place to get good seafood at a reasonable price. We went to two of the three Frenchy's on the island. I highly recommend this place.

Frenchy's Rockaway Grill

Imagine the white sandy beach, an ocean breeze blowing through your hair, a cool drink in your hand and delicious food at your beck and call. Well, imagine no more - just head over to Frenchy's Rockaway Grill on the beach. Located right on Clearwater Beach with a wonderful view of the Gulf of Mexico, there is no better location for a restaurant. The atomsphere is very casual - you'll see attire from suits to shorts to swimwear. There is live music most nights and some weekend days.

Now to the food. Grouper is the top choice on the menu. Frenchy's has a special way to prepare this local fish that enhances the flavor. And they will serve it up almost anyway you'd want it - grilled, fried, blackened, Cajun, etc. Conch is another popular choice. If you'd prefer something besides seafood, there are several options. I recommend the Hawaiian chicken sandwich - grilled breast with a light Terrayaki sauce and a pineapple slice. Very tasty. The cheese fries were some of the best I'd ever had and the basket was large enough to share among four adults.

There are two other Frenchy's locations - Salt Water Cafe and The Original Frenchy's Cafe. Both are located near the Rockaway. But you can't beat the view at the Rockaway.
