Description
This is a top class restaurant, belonging to the hotel of the same name, and deals in a mix of traditional and modern inventive British food. Some sounds positively medieval, such as wild jugged boar, whilst other dishes are obviously contemporary, such as duck breast with ginger, honey and lime. Puddings are not the poor excuse so often found these days, but properly filling and heartening. It doesn't come cheap, with most main meals between £12-£20, but if you want to indulge then it will be worthwhile.
