The outside, with its garish, old fashioned sign, belies the special Italian restaurant that is tucked away in this corner of Sanur. The geckos seem to be fond of the illuminated sign, but don't worry - they're after the flies, not customers. There is a display of pastas and gnocchi at the rear in a chill cabinet, and the menu is comprehensive and descriptive. The Gnocchi is particularly good and was served with vongole (clams) for the princely sum of 35000Rp (less than USD4.00). Vegetarian food in the form of Arabiata Pastas is good at about the same price. Italian desserts are available and the ice cream is excellent. A Bintang beer (15000Rp) Hatten (Balinese) and imported wines range from 100000Rp and up.
