The proprietor of Chez Hansi is a friendly man from Alsace with a Southern accent, who greets his customers with a twinkle in his eye. All the ingredients used here come directly from his native region and the choucroutes (pickled cabbage dishes) are delicious. The Bouchère, the Traditionnelle and the Royale are served in generous portions and are beautifully presented. It is possible to call ahead 24 hours in advance to order the famous Backeoffe, a melange of several different types of meat, accompanied by potatoes and cooked in white wine. The tournedos Rossini is absolutely amazing, and the home-made desserts are a perfect way to end your feast.
