Possibly Taiwan's most renowned steak restaurant, Ruth's has been recognized as the premier Western restaurant in Taiwan in several publications. In addition to its prime steaks, which are freshly imported from the US, this simple, yet comfortably furnished restaurant also serves some outstanding seafood.

Aside from its reputation for fine cuisine, Ruth's also has a reputation for being rather expensive. But, if cost is not really an issue, you would be pressed to find better dining and service in Taipei. For men, a jacket and tie is recommended but not necessary.
