Description
A 16th-century townhouse houses this fine restaurant, which is a short walk from its more famous 16th-century architectural companion, Lynch's Castle. House of Bards offers a comfortable ambience. The chefs serve the best in pork, beef, lamb and local seafood dishes, all prepared in their own unique style. Mouth-watering specialities include Crispy Roast Duck with morello cherry sauce and Poupillettes of Sole stuffed with crab meat and red peppers, served with lobster sauce. There is also a wide selection of fine wines to choose from. It is hard to resist the heavenly bread and butter pudding with toffee sauce. Reservations may be required.
