The Green House

I put less than $10 because we only drank here. We went on our last night in St. Thomas after we had eaten already, but I do wish we had eaten here. The food looked and smelled good. Drinks were great (mixed/frozen drinks 7-9 bucks) which was typical everywhere we went. Our waiter was a big baby and got mad that we went up to the bar to order a drink instead of ordering it from him...but everybody else was cool. They had Pyour Passion play (live music) and we loved it. We had a blast here. It's right on waterfront...easy to find.

The Green House is located along the waterfront of Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas. If you're spending a day or evening downtown, this is a great restaurant to stop in for a bite to eat. The open-air cafe-style seating provides great views of the harbor, and the service is some of the best in St Thomas. The Green House menu can be located here. The restaurant's, website with event details and specials, can be found via this link.

Two For Tuesdays is the best night to go. Go at 11pm, and eat at Buddha Bar or Havana Blue first. Never eat at Green House. They're better for fun, cool music!

We went shopping in town and thought we'd stop off at the Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. We'd been there in 2003 and loved it. We took a cab over the the Hard Rock only to discover that there was no Hard Rock - it closed a while back. (Remind me to thank that cab driver next time I'm in St Thomas!)

So we walked a block down to the Greenhouse. We saw the advertisements in the local magazines and wanted to try it anyway. The food was really good, and more importantly, the service was wonderful. It's an open bar restaurant, so you can eat, drink, talk, and people watch. I had Caesar salad, quesadillas, and a banana daquiri to wash it all down. There is a huge variety of mixed drinks available. I tried the margaritas, and I have to say, I wasn't too impressed. Stick with the fruity drinks!

We ate lunch at the Green House, but wished we had time to have come back for Happy Hour. The food was fast and good. It's right on the waterfront, so get a table where you can view the bay. At night, it looks like this is the place to party.
