Description: If you could have found the quintessential Mexican-American cantina, filled it with a bunch of college kids, and transported it to Munich, you would have Sausalito’s. Think Chi-Chi’s or Don Pablo’s with a German twist.
p>Sausalito’s is decorated with sombreros, large beer-themed umbrellas, and many bottles of tequila. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. During summer, I would highly recommend the outdoor tables, since it gets
packed inside! Those Germans sure do enjoy their fajitas and happy hours.
I wouldn’t recommend Sausalito’s unless you’re homesick or cannot stand German food. You can get the food they serve just about anywhere – fajitas, burritos, chimichangas, and tacos are standard fare. Nothing we ate was too spicy or overly flavorful, but the margaritas and daiquiris are huge and yummy.
I’ve head that the servers are not the greatest here, but we didn’t have too much of a problem. Our waitress was friendly and our food arrived quickly, but once she found out that we were American tourists, she stood around practicing her English on us for several minutes.
