This well-established restaurant is one of the few to be found in the centre of the Vedado district specialising in fish and shellfish. The simple decor may not be up to the usual tourist standard, but prices are low, and everything is charged for in local currency. Although an indoor establishment, the walls are formed by a sort of wrought iron grill, decorated in a marine theme. A wide choice on the menu includes fillet of fish, seafood, as well as chicken and pork dishes. Other plates include rice with shellfish; rice with black beans; and the “Siete Mares” (Seven Seas) house special –layers of chicken, ham, cheese and fish, served with white rice, salad and chips– which you can accompany with either a fruit juice or some locally brewed beer.
