By Cuban standards this is an expensive restaurant, nevertheless, it is still very popular, and the food here is famed throughout the island. The establishment belongs to a member of the family that owns the Polar brewery (who resisted abandoning Cuba following the revolution in 1959), and the house itself is full of relics of the past, including photographs, portraits and antiques. On the menu you will find a good selection of local cuisine, fruit juice, cocktails and beer, along with some delicious options for vegetarians. Tables need to be booked in advance, and the place is closed on Thursday.
