Curious and Pretty Good

We walked about before deciding to eat and drink here. We were initially put off by the economy in the title, but when we walked in, we felt comfortable, warm and ready for a beer. What a strange layout - bizzarre and wonderful. Service was prompt, attentive and personal. We had a bottle of (reasonably - quailty and price) Australian wine, caesar salad, and bruschetta, and made the mistake of ordering the LARGE nachos. Two of us, hungry as we were, coudn't seem to make a dent in the nachos. Food was cost effective, fresh and tasty - if we were expecting gourmet food, we didn't get it, but didn't pay for it either.
It delivered to expectations - good honest food, great busy bustling atmosphere - including live music downstairs - and for all that it is, it's worth a visit.

The nachos are fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful...BUT...the food is HORRIBLE! it is a great place to go for drinks and nachos but that is about it.

This place is fantastic. It's a perfect place for dinner or to go for a drink. The ambience is wonderful - dark, candlelit, amazing decor. The food is very good (try the nachos - they are amazing - and also try the green curry dish). The staff is friendly, and the selection of beer is great.

In the summer, the outdoor patio is beautiful, with all the flowers and trees. In the winter, the covered back patio (formerly an alley!), with its tall ceilings, creates the feeling that you're outside. I love the paintings on the wall and the cool indoor trees!
