In the gallery that links Via Battisti and Via San Francesco, this place is run by one of the best barmen in the city and it offers excellent service. There is a choice of extraordinary hot croissants at breakfast time, quick snacks such as toasts, pizza and sandwiches at lunch and aperitifs in the evening. There is a vast, quality array of cocktails (it won a prize in the 1990's for the best drink in the province), and there are also excellent, home made desserts. There are about ten tables here and a range of newspapers to read in a sophisticated atmosphere. Next door is one of the largest bookshops in the region.
