L'Escargot is rather unassuming at first, not least because it is located in the basement of the railway station. This is a place to forget everyday life. The white tablecloths and subtle lighting create a romantic ambience, but the restaurant is also popular with the business world - it's quite usual to hear business chats at nearby tables.
The lamb dishes with potatoes au gratin come highly recommended, and the fish stew from the south of France is also excellent. The wine menu is varied, with French and New World wines available. L'Escargot is forgotten due to its location, but when you remember it, you won't be disappointed.
