How to Waste 40 Euros

We decided to eat in d'Antica after a long day walking around Amsterdam's gorgeous streets. Once at the door we were asked if we had a reservation to which we replied no, the restaurant wasn't very busy but we we're taking through and up a set of spiral stairs to what looked like a budget conference room.

Once seated by our every so pompous waiter (Wearing an eyebrow piercing) we were given a menu that was different from the down downstairs and also totally different to the one listed on their website. The menu consisted of 4 pages of uninspiring antipasta and a small selection of pasta dishes with starters starting at 16euros.

After ordering the garlic pasta with red peppers and being made to feel like shit for even being there, we were given a complimentary bread roll (No side plate) and some small pieces of bruchetta (Stale) we waiting for our main meal.

Slop on a plate, 2 tiny tiny pieces of peppers, greasy undercooked pasta (Not al dente) and a few herbs, a packet of super noodles tasted better.

The whole experience of this place was awful and a complaint was made. Rude staff, ugly decoration (Even the vase with plastic flowers had a sticker with imperfect on it!) and food that made beans on toast look and taste gourmet. There is also a random cat wandering around eating off the floor, don't be fooled into thinking its cute as it batted one girl on the hand!

I would not recommend anyone visit this place and was totally unsatisfied with every aspect of the place.
