Chlopskie Jadlo

A yummy and fun place to eat, Chlopskie Jadlo (or Peasant Kitchen) serves large portions of local Polish cuisine. Not the cheapest place you'll eat, this restaurant serves great mugs of beer, fresh bread (with lard (really!) or seasoned cottage cheese for topping), pickled cabbage and more at the salad bar, and massive quantities of food that you can order by weight (try not to let your eyes order more than your stomach can handle!). Note that they charge for everything, so make sure you want that extra plate of bread before ordering it. I had smoked eel as an appetizer (a first for me!) and a plate of goulash that was big enough for two, and quite tasty. To aid with digestion, I suggest a shot of Polish Vodka and a long walk home.
