As far as possible, only organic ingredients are used at this vegetarian oasis. It has been in existence since 1993 and is located on the ground floor of the Centro Culturale Italo-Giapponese, only two minutes' walk from the main entrance of Kyoto University.

The indoor plants and wood furnishings make for a relaxing atmosphere. Popular with Kyoto residents from overseas, it sensibly has a non-smoking section and seats 25.

Tofu steak, bagels, open sandwiches, and bagels are priced at JPY550-JPY800. Organic beer from Germany goes for JPY600. Wine is JPY450 a glass, or JPY2,200 a bottle. Breads served here are made from chemical-free flour and yeast.
