Description
Housed on the second floor of the restored former Mainichi newspaper office which was originally constructed in 1928, Hamac de Paradis is part of the trendy Kyoto Arts Complex and is an ideal place for dinner before catching a performance on the next floor.
The decor leans towards monochrome and metallic minimalism, and there is a definite European feel to this spacious and well-lit restaurant.
The food is mostly French and Italian inspired with adventurous pastas, such as Camembert spaghetti for JPY800 and profiterole at JPY500. The menu changes frequently and is displayed on a chalkboard outside. Wine is JPY800 a glass.
