Ashoka is a fairly popular and quickly growing Indian chain restaurant in Japan. There are numerous varieties of curry whose spiciness guests may request on ordering. Such staples as tandori chicken and dishes incorporating roast mutton are available as well. Prices are quite affordable; most start well under JPY1,000. There are also a limited number of alcoholic drinks--including beer--with prices starting around JPY500. For a chain restaurant, the atmosphere is not bad either. It is usually fairly subdued, and the booths and tables are comfortable.
