You don't need a passport and air ticket to experience authentic Mexican cuisine. There's always a fiesta at this popular hotel bar and restaurant. In contrast to the hotel's more subdued restaurants, this Mexican cantina is geared for partying. Young amigos come for the live entertainment, nightly dancing and famed karaoke nights. A lively, casual atmosphere prevails.
Starters include a creamy tomato and corn soup flavored with coriander and tortilla chips with rich guacamole (EGP 10). Chicken, beef and seafood dishes are also served, and Pedro is known for his delicious chili con carne, which is hard to find in Cairo. For dessert, try the pancakes topped with goat's milk syrup and tequila, with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Alcohol is served and flaunted.
