Offering good quality Oriental cuisine, this is an excellent place to go if you want to sample the culinary delights of Cairo. The interior is a little drab, but the groups of Egyptians and ex-pats that pack the place each night don't seem to mind. The extensive menu has many Egyptian delights to offer. The soups are good - the shorbit ads (lentil soup) being particularly tasty. There is a nice variety of Egyptian speciality salads available including tehina and baladi salad. Main courses include meat, chicken and vegetarian dishes. The desserts are delicious, but only if you have a sweet tooth.
