Description
Established in 1965, this pizzeria chain has been a pioneer in the art. For an exhaustive and somewhat exotic pizza menu, this is definitely the place to come. A recent makeover has created an open cafe atmosphere in the front, with regular tables lining the wall opposite the long food bar, where pizzas are made from scratch. Customers casually smoke shisha and watch TV in the front, perhaps wondering why the management has closed off the open-air seating area out back! The pizza selection here is huge, so steer clear if you're the indecisive type. All the usual toppings are available, and then some. In the mood for tropical delights? Try the mango chutney and raisin Colonel's Pizza (EGP 22). There is also a range of other Italian dishes, with the lasagne reputed to be one of Cairo's best. The tiramasu is passable, but steer clear of the bland cheesecake.
